Tugce/Daydrift Mono
Daydrift Mono is a studio—where seventeen years of making things (oil paintings, multimedia installations, interactive game art, and surreal worlds built from the inside out) converge into something you can wear, read, and hold in your hands.
I’m Tugce, a Turkish-Australian artist, writer, and designer based behind this little universe. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the spaces between the waking world and the subconscious—the quiet, slightly strange places where logic takes a back seat. I make art that lives in the space between dreaming and waking: absurdist, surreal, dreamcore. The kind of images that feel like a memory you never had.
The Vision Behind Daydrift Mono
Daydrift Mono is an extension of that practice into the everyday. Whether I’m illustrating surreal landscapes, crafting weird and wonderful short stories, or translating those ideas into wearable concepts, my goal is always the same: to evoke a sense of nostalgic wonder and delightful disorientation.
The apparel carries the imagery. The writing explores the worlds. The Mail Club brings it all directly to you—original art, letters, stories, photographs—as a monthly dispatch from the studio.
This isn’t a shop. It’s an ongoing work.
Thank you so much for being here at the very beginning of this journey. I hope these pieces make you feel like you’ve stepped straight into a daydream.
